That is pretty wicked.  260kW in a small AWD thing like that....  That would be fun

Axed the "j" - don't know how that got there???

Yeah it looks cool - probably only downside is everything seems to weigh tonnes these days. What's the bet it's on the porky side of 1600kg's if it makes it to production  :(

Sad that the new S3 will have less power than the old one.  :(

I wonder how much the RS3 will go for. It would have to be reasonable considering it's a small hatchback.

According to the linked article the new S3 will have around 210kw, which is a lot more than the old one which had 165kw (225hp) as stock. Even tuned the old S3 only gets to about 195kw.

However the new S3 will be heavier, especially over the nose with that heavy donk. So I reckon the old one will handle better round the twisties.

I'm a bit dubious about DSG in the RS3, I was under the impression that DSG couldn't handle high torque.

Cheers, Ed.

Whoops I was thinking 210hp which would be a bit disappointing. 210kw is a different story!

Eek - makes you glad to own an older model S3 doesn't it. I'm not a fan of the new Audi face. Especially not on the smaller cars. On the S4 you can get away with it, but on the S3 it's all face and no body.

Cheers, Ed.

It looks like a Fix It Again Tony Stilo - the older shape is MUCH better looking.

DSG is operating in the Veyron and V10 TDi engines so I think it should be ok....?
