Even Lexus' menu pad thingy is better (just) than this VAG nonsense.

The old BMW i-drive doesn't seem so bad now does it ?

;D

Stellantis (U Connect) and FoMoCo (Sync) are the best in the business.

I find it amusing that a Ford Fiesta has better systems than a top of the line Porsche.

What frustrates me is that it's almost obsolescence built in, consumers are upgrading their cars based on infotainment and lighting vs engineering.

100% agree. Thankfully (like him or hate him) Elon Musk is turning this concept on it's head.

Only because they knew they were about to be slapped with a class action lawsuit from many customers who's screens had stopped working.

At lease they approved the recall for cars out of warranty, thats admirable.

I can't help but think they're screwing with us R/H drivers who are right handed. That's assuming that L/H drive vehicles have those controls on the right, of course. Those among us who favour dexterity on the left must be rejoicing though.

For the tyre geeks. A shame we cant get so many sizes here in NZ.

Have never thought about that. No wonder the missus is quicker at navigating our screen.

This is still the best 'tyre test' video made, IMO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXgWWNJVdYA

there's some magnificent stuff in here, too many modern Ferraris for my liking, but a huge Chrysler sedan followed by a tiny Fiat sedan is a sweet moment

a bit left field, but he is restoring a Porsche 356A, Dominic Chinea is a behind the scenes guy on the UK TV show the Repair Shop

he's got very keen on English wheels for shaping metal and became obsessed with Ranalah wheels, to the extent that he bought the company and is working on bringing them back into production

but what I really like is his enthusiasm and that he's finding people to help design, build the patterns for casting and then casting the pieces

it's fascinating stuff
