MkV all the way. They've turned it into a Ford Taurus!

i still like it but i like the MK5 better and thats good because this will push MK5 prices down  ;D

oh no There has also been speculation that the new Golf will fall victim to a cost-cutting program that may include a return to a simpler torsion beam rear suspension layout. The current car has independent rear suspension.  :(

veedubman

guess it wont handel a tarashing like a W8 then aye Mate!

it looks like the scirocco.....:/

me no likey

GLIDN

From side view with 3dr, it does not look to bad.
I think a better colour could have been chosen to revel the new MK6, the toureg ass looks ok i guess, but i'm surely no fan of the front, Hopefully they split the Golf and Jetta noise up again and have a unique face to each, Doubt it thou.

Yes the MK6 will be dropping the independant suspension in favour of Torsion rear axle, so the car can had the likes of MP3 player, Bluetooth and docking station for Ipod i believe.

You, my friend, are a bloody wind-up! You're as bad as Sellers!!

Personally, I quite like it...and sort of don't.

It's like a cross between a Honda Civic, a Touareg and a Scirocco...but not quite any of them.
R32 and GTi will be interesting

Nothing wrong with a torsion beam rear end. The inside rear wheel doesn't do a lot in hard cornering anyway, doesn't matter if its flapping about in the wind.

i diddnt say there was anything wrong with it i just dont belive it will corner aswell as the MK5 it replaces but than again i colud be compleetly wrong and find out it handles fantasticly atleast they diddnt go RIDGID BEAM (aka trailer axle)

OK i was confused i now realise that torsion bars still allow the wheels to move inderpendantly enough of each other unlike a ridgid beam wich behaves like a live axle (understeer than snap oversteer)

Aidan

God dammit we need that two door in nz already. Shame about the front and the rear though, kinda fugly
