Centre light section for Avant please.

I'll have a look tomorrow, but from memory it is (as they say) BNIB, and I never got around to fitting it, since around 18 years ago!

NOt really. clean it down with a cloth unclip the wires and then remove the front passenger wheel and get the the bolt that holds it in that way its easier than working from under the hood. you can do it just from under the hood tho if jacking it and stuff is hard where you are.

Seek, and ye shall find, and (like I thought) "Brand New In Box":

I'm a sick person - I bought it new and never fitted it "cos itwill only get broken"

btw, Avant and Saloon parts are a completely different profile

...and a saloon one, too

used, with the usual amount of crazing and a small crack above the number plate:

I have parts like that, still in the box, but now the Golf and the Citroen are sold, I really should sell them and drum up some funds for the 1971 VW Fastback that is languishing.

I can't begin to imagine what that would have cost. I was looking at getting a full smoked set from Belgium, around $450 landed. P-mail me your price. Are you North or West? I have to work at Rolleston on Sunday and I will probably have our Ducato van so I could just about fit everything in..... but I should really bring out the Scirocco so we can see the two together.

different ?

yes.  viewed from the side the saloon version has a different curvature, as far as I remember.

How about a working fuel pump?  I'm looking for 8A0 906 091 G (was on a bunch of engines including MC, 6A, ACE, ABC, ABY and 3B) or 4A0 201 351 C (NG, most ear;y 90's 4 cylinder engines and the V6's).

I'm off to pick-a-part tomorrow for a scavenge but if any of these engine numbers ring a bell...

Still trying to figure out how to get 'em all to fit in a single garage....

#53
Have one here from an ABK, but was going to hang on to it as a spare for the S2

Pickapart would probably be a far better/cheaper option?

(5-cyl appears to be different, btw, and your second part # is only A6/100?)

Thanks for the prompt response Portman.  I'll avoid the 5 cyl cars then.  I have a feeling the 4A0 number is a later part, but the manual suggests both will fit.  If I can't find something at Pickapart I'll bug you here again and see if I can persuade you to part with it.

Damn cause i have heaps of the 5 cylynder fuel pumps.
And hey pushbutton my rear boot plastic is crap i want to sort through the other ones.
Got my 200s brakes going again it just needed a wee bleed in the power steering pump and to nip up a slightly loose union.
Good as gold now really happy its running again, you can almost justify them when they run. ;D
