There is 2 screws inside the handle you pull the door closed with on the arm rest, then the door cars slides up, do not try and pull it outwards as you will break the mounting tabs

Cool, thanks.

If you don't want to replace all the foam then contact adhesive works well. Just make sure you have some paper towels or rags to catch any drips of glue.

At lunch time I tried to get the pull handle out. Am I meant to split it with a screw driver? The bottom half comes out the bottom and the top comes out the top?

Yes that's right Nik, the trim inside the handle is in two bits. Then can access the two screws that hold the handle to the door frame.
As Mike says, lift the whole panel straight up, not out.  The tabs are reasonably strong but aren't too flexible.
When you put the panel back, retrieve all the rubber packing that goes over the tabs and glue them on so you don't lose them halfway through reinstalling.  Main cause of annoying rattles otherwise.
When you have the panel half off you almost need three hands to hold it and unplug the speaker and window wiring.

Well its take 2 for the wheel aligenment today.
Last time (2 weeks ago) they went to pull the struts apart to replace the top mounts but couldnt due to buggered upper strut bushing nuts:

http://www.ecstuning.com/News/ES2486/ES5124/

Audi NZ wanted $30 each for them, what a joke. And they only had 1 in the country, and it was going to take between 2-3 weeks to get another in . . .
ECS wanted $6 US for them, but I found them on another US website for less than $2US.

Something strange is happening to my fuel gauge. It gets to half full and drops to nothing. This brings on the fuel light and effects the kms to empty. Any ideas what this issue is? Fuel float?

Hi Nik

The solder is buggered where the wire from the float attaches to the sender.  Wire is in contact with the sender when float up high (full tank) and then loses contact when float drops (half tank).  Pull the sender and float out from the boot, re-solder and you are good to go.  Wire can be quite frail and may need to be replaced.

On Friday I flicked over 270,000kms.

I seem to have a boost issue though. Its only pulling 10-12PSI, idles smooth and no rough driving. Fun times ahead . . .

Mine's been at the Toy Shop for about a month now (luckily they have a loan car :D ) - they had sent the ECU away and the report back is that it's poked.

I asked if re-flashing was an option - they said no, it's beyond that.

I chase them up again expecting the car to be back to the same condition as I left it with them, they said the ECU guys think they can re-flash (huh - didn't I just ask about that?.... anyways...)

Next update is that they tried re-flashing but the chip was faulty so they are getting a new one to flash and that was mid last week.

I'll follow up again tomorrow.

They haven't actually worked on the car much it's just dragged out (partly due to them sending the ECU away and not having control of that) - so thats a positive experience I can take away from this so far.  :D

Bummer Nik. If car is otherwise running well could possibly be a boost leak somewhere? Could be anything I suppose. Altitude sensor?

John, where do they send the ECUs for testing?

Not sure where they have sent the ECU - hopefully when it comes back the invoice and detailed report should say.

I havent had the chance to scan my car yet as my Brother has his diagnostic software on loan to a mate.
With the help of some of the guys on the S2 Forum Ive been trying different sensors.
First up was to unplug the N75 valve (Waste gate frequency valve) - this made no difference.
The next step was to replug the N75 and unplug the MFTS:

http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/22584.phtml

This increased boost from 10-11psi to 16-17psi.
