ABF,ABA,doesnt really matter, the secret to good reliable power is really good software.
And that can be a little elusive , unless you go for Link, motec, or similar

The kit comes with a software update via OBD. I think I'm still gonna pick up the AGU, never know when you could need it :)

BahnBrenner don't have the software to run the ABF ECU at the moment. Last time I wrote to them, they indicated January they might have an ABF supercharger.

Right, that answers the question I was going to ask them. Cheers. For some reason, I think I would prefer a S/C.

I probably have the ideal setup that the 1.8t can reliably run on, off the shelf, and quite honestly is enough power.
To get more power from the 1.8t engine, i would have to lower compression and use a Link. or Motec system.

But , i am waiting for someone else to build a bigger beast.

It is a beautiful set-up; it's the whole powertrain package that makes the impression. I wouldn't mind putting something along the lines of what you've done into the GTI ..... in a few years.

Would megasquirt run a 1.8t ok?

qta4

Why on earth would anyone Megasquirt a 1.8t ,when you can get full VAG-COM  with OEM software

Period_Correct_

theres no point in EFIing an engine that is already being run on the best standard engine management system around...

however the gains to meagsquirt over Bosch would be the control, however, if you are not going to be doing alot of tuning, then there is no point...

Two things. I was talked out of it by Dad, and also a bit with Cameron. And the parts guy closed down before I got the funds.
