No haven't tried Gull

Have tried

Shell
BP
Caltex

All with and without Cetane booster

Caltex lets engine rev to redline quicker but makes engine very clattery on tickover???

Wish you guys would let me loose on your tdi's with OCT remapping.
Super deals for VASK members

OK, what can you do with a T4 2.5ltr TDi, ACV engine?  I'd like more power at lower revs and better economy. I have new .216 injectors that apparently respond well to a remap.  Interested?

S.

I find that very interesting, being that Shell, BP, Mobil and Caltex diesel is exactly the same... no additives specific to each brand, just plain old Marsden Point diesel. I know this as I did my time unloading tankers on the wharf in Tauranga... all the brands tank farms are within a 1.5km radius and are fed from the same pipe.
We just open the valves to the appropriate tank farm for the pre-determined time (based on viscosity/flow-rate of the product.. petrol or diesel)

Gull is the only company to source its products from offshore, usually ex-Singapore.

The only thing that springs to mind could possibly a wintering agent... depending on where you are of course,  however I'm pretty sure they started to add that as an all year round feature after the gargantuan cockup that occurred back '03 :police:
Apart from that, if you took a 500ml sample of each "local" brands brew to a lab for analysis they would all have the same chemical makeup in the same proportions, from the same base crude source

The 2.5 tdi is bloody awesome as it is, I quite like driving the acv powered vans! The 1.9 is pretty weak though.

Mines the 75Kw (102hp) Caravelle. I'll PM you to avoid hogging the beauty of the B6 TDi. We have a 2.5 V6 B5.5 so I share the enthusiasm.
