I'm off to Hessisch Oldendorf in June, a small village in the north of Germany for the Holy Grail of vintage VW shows. Then on to Wolfsburg, Autostadt then down to Stuttgart to take a look at the Porsche museum before heading into Austria, Switzerland, France and into Belgium for the European Bug-in the following weekend.

I have hired a TDi Golf for the journey, may well be a MK6 by then.
Sorry to sound like a right w&%#@r.

About time really... the old Porsche museum was the least impressive of all the car museums I saw in Europe

Sounds like a good trip!  Are you going to the M-Benz museum while you're in Stuttgart?  I haven't seen the new one, but if the old one is anything to go by it'll be pretty special.

Definitely

I did Bad Camberg in 07, took 800 photo's and about 6 hours of video. I travelled to Wolfsburg then as well but time was at a premium so I just did the old VW museum and didn't visit the factory. I remember thinking that they 'only' built the MK5 Golf there and I didn't have an interest in them then, now I own one.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to check out?
