No more W8 model, replaced by the 184kw 3.2 FSI V6.
I wonder if it will get the 4.2 V8 in the future?

Pitty about the lack of w8! They are trying to keep it special for the pheton (sp?)

It would look much nicer in a dark grey!

The W8 is finished, they use the Audi 4.2 V8 in the Phaeton. :S

Anybody reckon that if you crossed a new A6 with a new B7 A4 and stuck VW badges on it you'd get this?  The rear is different but the front and the side profile are pretty similar...

Why are the TDI engines so similar? as in cc?

The 1.9TDi is the older engine model which puts the car in a lower insurance group in Europe. The 2.0 TDi is the new, more powerful design, as fitted to the Mk5 Golf.

Very sure, the Jetta has the same front as a Mk5 Golf. This is much bigger and completely different.

Also noticed the rear plates are in different locations.

Sure have... not bad looking either. Does VW still use Variant? I read the article on the new Passat Estate and it doesn't mention Variant at all. The article  spplied by VW too.
