VR6 in there, no way!  It needs the lightest donk possible to retain some semblance of balanced handling, that rear end must be light as

BB

Rather than chime in with the VR6 baggers I will point out that for a V6 they are a very small and light engine.

As for shoving one in that ....No. A1.8t is a sensible swap seeing as Platinum will have one at hand. I would leave it standard but possibly not if i had what Platinum have :D
And no they are not rear drive.
I think they are such a cool wee ute.
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

Couldn't have gone to a better home!  ;)

Does anyone worldwide produce a 1.8t as an alloy block?

I would consider putting a 4 valve V5 into it, just because no one has done it before. s**t shoot me, what am I saying

That would actually be quite cool... or else a TDI torque monster 8)

TDI would be the way of the future tho and not something that has been done before, 1.8T is almost too easy.

TDi engines are 2 hard to come by. You need something that is relatively  easy to come across

Is this  LHD or RHD?? There is one in Dunedin that has been done up and looks really good, it will be a great promo vehicle for your business.

Have you checked the Gearbox codes, some of these had really good final drive ratios

Certain roads they would be at a disadvantage others it would be an advantage, say overtaking on the killmog in dunedin ;D
BB I can assure you that a Mk 1 GTI will beat a VR6 up the Kilmog

RHD conversion and a 1.8T would be cool. I also like the idea of a diesel; as you said a bit difficult to come by though. Widened steelies and a bit lower and she'd be cool. Is it to be a work hack?
