PROJECT CAR: MK2
« on: April 26, 2009, 02:30:59 PM »
I wanted originally to just get a car for the track and when i bought this car it was in disrepair so i thought the decent thing to do would be to build a proper mk2 ABF with MK3 everything! to do it justice.

Vert/dubshack are going to build it with me, I have already organised a ABF transplant and currently im stripping and cleaning it in preparation for them putting it back together.

The plan is-
2.0l 16v ABF
MK3 - Dash, subframes, petrol tank, door handles, vr6 brakes 5x100, including p/s and a/c utilising the mk3 gti loom
Porsche d90's 7" fronts 8" rears
Bucket seats up front with no rears
Coilovers
Big windows

Heres the car originally -

Heres where i am currently-

its only going to have front racing seats no rears... so a daily but track orientated. Its just wasnt worth it given its current condition

In reference to the "somethings should not be mentioned" (nice graphic btw) I take it that excludes its engine that can find its way into other models?
