Hey all.

Friend of mine just picked up his new S3.

Drove it on the weekend, initial thoughts were no electric seat adjustment and why do I have to have my foot on the clutch to start the car hmmmm? Clunks into reverse a bit as well.

After that all good, still a little wooden in the steering and typical 4wd understeer but a lot better. Once you get into it really nice and everything falls into place well, I was most surprised the pedals are perfect for heeltoe. I was also very impressed with the power delivery, nice and slow with lag being your friend around town and then really shifted once you had your foot up it.

Looked cool in black with dark wheels.

Can't see it being a $70k car for me but still very nice.

i always found the Gti and especailly the edition 30 a much nicer package than the S3 , without the 4wd of course, shame they didnt make the spec of the S3 a little higher.. If you want it to come alive tell you mate to get us to do a remap on it. Makes all the difference!

I have driven the new S3, was quite a bit nicer than the old S3, but yes maybe not a $77k car compared to a GTI edition 30
