are you kidding, its a BOSE unit!

Mine does the same, you get use to it.

Friends A6 does it

It requires a new chip and firmware AFAIK

Look for a 2nd hand one in good cond or go for a Alpine 9887

pretty sure it is just a blaupunkt or panasonic - the "bose" component is the amplifier and speakers.

They don't like 95 and by all accounts the 95 in a country station is hardly ever even 95.
As said the knock sensors will just retatrd the timing so you will have no damage just poor performance and rough running. Possibly it would do damage if it stayed on 95 to the cat or something.
But going back to 98 will just make it happy.
Its tuned for 98, just detunes if it has 95.
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

They are also the wrong offset for a genuine B5 RS4.

PS. even if you had the correct offset, you need 18" to get over those big f'n 360mm rotors!

Taking the car in for it's first service since I've owned it

Wellington Armstrong Prestige

- Warranty of fitness
- Oil and filter change
- Transmission fluid change
- Autosure Warranty Service Compliance work

On paper it should fly through (a comprehensive check 2 months ago before purchase came up trumps)

Lets see how this goes...

I wasn't that clever!  I was hoping the pricing for warrants and fluid changes wouldn't vary (a bit silly of me)

I'll give these guys a chance and see how that goes!

As far as warranty goes I got it through Giltraps.  The previous owner had a good relationship with them and they offered me a dealers Autosure warranty (higher claim maximums etc) for the private sale.

that sounds like a great bargain for him!  not so good for them (or maybe you when they started chasing up the debt?)

Powerhaus did all the servicing on my 4Motion. Very good to deal with and very knowledgeable, as well as being considerably cheaper than the Welly VW dealer.

My car was a repo when I purchased it so all debts were cleared when I purchased.

I have to recommend armstrong prestige if you are in wellington. I know they are an expensive dealer, but i had an issue with my S4 while down in wellington and they checked it out for me free of charge. Top blokes ;D

to be fair.. they sent me an offer saying they will check the cambelt on my car for free and clean it too.. which was great.. but they then asked me to pay for the cleaning material
