Looking to buy this RS4! Your input greatly appreciated!

Cant say Im a fan of B7 RS4 wheels on a B5 RS4, each to there own though.

Some after market BBS CH's or LM's would look cool.

I think that the stock (B5) RS4 wheels look fantastic on the B5. Personally if I was lucky enough to own one I would try to keep it with those.

also search under nogo blue and you'll see an s4 sedan with dark b7 s4 rims if you want to get an idea of look.

I think it'll be a case of a lot of Internet searching to find the right rims.

pretty excited about being in the position to get one of these cars though.  If it's not this blue one (price isn't right or for what ever reason) then I'm more than happy to wait for the right one!

to be honest I like the silver, with blue being a close 2nd.

this example looks really mint though and it 'may' have some nice mods.  depending on price (and if everything checks out) then I'm keen

Just done my numbers again, I cocked up, its 35 not 36 that I know of.

yeah, he's a really nice guy.  has helped me with every question i have.  (actually everyone on these forums or who I've talked to are really helpful and friendly!)

do you know RS4's and can comment on it's flaws \ pros or if it's exhibiting any common probs?  (or even not so common ones!)

I'm just talking price with him now so depending on how it all goes could be driving this one soon (or waiting for another!)

Out of interest, have you driven one?

Before you purchase one I get someone to plug VAGCOM into it for a scan it see if there are any issues.

No I'm certainly no expert, haven't even driven one. Though I do think based on what I think other RS4s have sold for recently both cars on TM are overpriced in todays market and with close to 100,000 kms. Both blue and red cars have been for sale for a while now.

Buyers market.

DV's are a common issue, but only $100 odd to replace. (may have already been done)
and MAFs can go a bit dodgy too.

^^ Sounds like the previous owner replaced those items when he owned it. I have vag com, could scan it for faults. I could also log the MAF and boost to see if it is still running a remapped ECU. All care and no responsibility of course! Any negotiated price should be subject to pre purchase inspection and a test drive.

yup - I'm still negotiating price and also it is subject to pre purchase inspection.

nope, I haven't driven one.  once I get the price locked down and the pre purchase stuff done I'll make a flight up to AKL.

any in Wellington have a B5 RS4 that I could take for a test drive or at least be a passenger in?
