A rival for the UK PSAutoart retro 911's.

I'd take one of these over the new 911 Sport Classic.

;D

More pix and a video of the car's unveiling at Monterey.

Just listen to that glorious air-cooled sound as the car is started up.

Love the car but hate that he thinks he needs to talk it up for an hour before starting it up.
Mazda Mx5

Big fat tyres.
Does it handle like a modern electronic one with the esp on? Or throw you off the road backwards like an old one?
I think it looks fantastic and the fact its air cooled is a real bonus.

Who saw the modern remake of the Volvo p40 they had in the herald motoring section a few months or 6 ago?
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

GlenT

That certainly is jizz-tastic!
I adore the pre impact 911's.
I'm half way through designing/manufacturing new light housings for these Porsche's. They look identical from the outside, but use LED panels instead of filament bulbs. They're primarily for rally cars (as they are a fraction of the weight of the alloy one's which have a habit of working loose and falling out due to their weight), but there is a massive overseas market for new retro builds, and original alloy light housings are around $500 each second hand, and that's if you can get your hands on them.
I love that this car has the oil tank filler on the outside. 8)

Too much power is almost enough.

That Singer is a bit OTT for me, with those cartoonish wheels & tyres
And how long till someone puts the petrol pump in the oil filler neck?!  :D
Gimme a Paul Stephens creation any day

This caught my attention on TM recently:

Not a fan of the whaletale...

The PS will probably be cheaper too.

They are looking at a pricetag of ~$300k USD for the Singer !

Should be able to get a PS Retro Touring R or Lightweight R for a lot less ?

I like the Singer, would look good in Gulf blue with a Carrera RS spoiler

GlenT

Yeah, the Duck Tail is cool.
But they have used the 964 electric deck lid on the Singer with that neat wee lip. Nice.
In fact, that Singer could actually be a 964 (just from the pics)

HandsomeDan

Love it.

Takes all that was great about the old looks and marries it with the pefrormance and refinement of the new cars...perfect Porsche in my opinion.

x2 Best 911 buy on TM currently in my very uneducated opinion. Been trying to get a certain VASKer to open his wallet and jump in to it but he keeps mumbling about focussing on growing his business. Pffff - like that should stop you.  :D :P
