Hey I need a little advice from the experts, I have a 99 VW Passat 1.8T tiptronic auto and I take care of the servicing myself, at least I change oil, filter and air filter every 10,000 kms and its up to date with that but I started it today and it beeped and flashed a "service now" message and im a little worried about what that means. Its at 84,450 kms and im wondering if it just wants a proper service and checkup due to being around 85,000 kms. Also will it keep telling me this untill it gets hooked up to a vag scan or will it stop by itself? Or is there somthing more sinister going on?

Dubious

Just an automated message from the computer which will continue to appear until it is reset. There is an easy way to reset it - I can't remember if VAGCOM is required
