So, anyone been in an RS3 for a period of time yet and got any feedback ?

one of the guys at work went for a spin in it (passenger and driver)

"damning insane! he drove up to mount vic from newtown, via the alexandra road.
he was pushing it way past the 130km mark, and I almost had to tell him to stop;
it was bat s**t crazy. car handled superbly though, not a twitch, and he didn't use
the breaks as hard as I would have. the front tires are wider than the back, so
it just eats the road. and the sound is spectacular, a real deep growl that barks
when it changes gears.

they only have one demo in wellington, and it's already pre-sold. if he said he'd
sell me a demo for 80-90k, I would have signed the dotted line right there and then;
that's how amazing it was! the BMW M1 is probably the funner car to drive, if you
can drive and have a suitable road or track nearby. the RS 3 seems like the better
'every day' option, especially on NZ roads.

he's gonna send me some price options now, but I can't see myself buying a new
car, and then having to wait 6 months for it.

but who knows! "

Getting to see one of the RS3's being Mapped. Should be pretty interesting to see how they respond?

If they are anything like a Audi TT-RS. They respond extremely well.

If i'd had a test drive like that I would have rung the police, not bought the fckn car - jesus.

Anyhoo, sounds like it is quite nice. Might try and have a look at one, you know, just for interests sake !

Had one in over Christmas - the engine sound is outstanding inside - makes you want to plant your foot to keep hearing it - not a handful to drive but hauls up to 120 with zero effort  - firm suspension and takes a bit to realise your going way too fast :)
