Polo Key Door lock

My doorlock key operation went a bit 'gritty' in operation and now does not work at all.
The central locking is fine as works perfectly from the other door lock.
Any suggestions as to the cause of the problem please.
I do not want to dismantle and then find I need parts but would prefer to know what the problem is likely to be first

Need a rebuild kit for it, easy as.

Same happened on the Cordoba..
Which is pretty much the same door as a Polo
Gritty, then would stick.. Then wouldn't turn

Rebuild Kit fixed it, been all good since

Just had the barrel come out with the key on the drivers handle $:-\$

Giltrap/ CCS, parts are available seperately so you can just buy the bits you need.

I might have spoken to soon on ours..
Its getting tight to turn again..

What should I use to lubricate a lock ?

Cool thanks for that, ill pull it apart and head down to Miles in ChCh I normally find them very helpfull

Got some parts from Miles for this cheap enough and sorted it out

All good now
