Will look good with painted arch trims, roll bar and alloys.

Lowered with nice rims, will look cool. Chipped common rail diesel go well too  ;D
Emailed EMD to see if they have any idea of NZ release.

I wonder if they will spawn an SUV off the Amarok (like Navara/Pathfinder and Triton/Challenger)

Why not, Toyota does this, and it seems an obvious thing to do. You easily as many surfs as hilux utes out there and then look at all the Pathfinders. Add VW diesel, DSG and optional 4wd and youd have a real winner in the soft roader market in NZ. Talk to Mitsi about the repeat requests for VW diesel powered Outlanders that you can get in the UK. A surf like version with 7 seats could hit the Touareg though.

Agree that the wheels and drop on the 2 doors tranforms it.

in all honesty, cameron's Amarok re-edition looks pretty good with only two mods. lol

But there might be a scope for a pathfinder type amarok. Not a bad idea IMO.

I like it, a dose of lowering pills and the right wheels and it'll be alright. Only issue is the tray looks a tad small maybe compared to say Hilux or Commodore utes - any info on dimensions?

Tongue in cheek.

I have no doubt there will be that progression. Makes sense. It'd be an actual 'utility' vehicle.

Have you seen how midget the occupant looks in the photo’s? That’s a good indication that it’s going to be considerably bigger than a Hilux, I would think between a Hilux and a Tundra, to have wheels the size as that edited picture they would have to be about 24”.

It just looks like a Ute to me. I would think these models will be relegated to Europe and South America.
