Not north south, you can just see the output shaft for the AWD.

Cheers fella's - Yep, shorts in winter, that's James my sales / tech - he's tough. Good Queensland winter mind you!

Turbo sits in the stock orientation, stock intake direction etc - everything has just grown!

You can see from a pic of our MK6 GTI - the difference in gearbox & downpipe location:

We can use a simple one on the GTI, no extra gear in the way!

So with 420hp in a new Golf, what will you be able to do with it being FWD.

A great tyre burner, proving technology today works or what.

I think a better project would entail 4WD to use the energy you guys will have.

Nice build HP Guy, I have been following your businesses cars through Motor Magazine over the years, I liked the Golf R32 you did that was featured in the tuner shoot out, and the little Polo GTI looked like a real Clio RS competitor also.

This car is going to be a beast, should eat Impreza's and Lancers for lunch.

Good man doing good things, wish we had a market/economy for it.

True, they just chip em like us though and get them to 220kw, relatively they are cheap as hell compared to what we pay, well VW are in general over there. I wish we got them for similar money, I would be driving a Golf R  8)

An acquaintance in Australia just picked one up for under 60k NZ with a few nice options, that’s cheaper than we pay for the mild Golf GTI and IMO where VW’s prices should be at in NZ, I can’t understand why VW NZ charge so much for what is a non premium product in most other countries.

Thanks fella's - The AWD platform will make the most of the power. 90 % of the parts came straight off our old S3 & onto the R.

You can see the size of the intercooler, it gets the regular GTI version, not even the alloy tanked S3 version. From our testing over the years, the Audi's claimed & actual power differences (Like 188kw vs 195) actually had very little effect & often they made the same power when tested.

I think its more a marketing ploy personally!
