Not according to this person who is much mistaken as the Highline was not released until 1995

This message was brought to you courteously of the VW Trade Me Police  :police: :police: :police:

Sounds like the nice red one with debadged grille etc from Wellington. For sale about 2 months ago also, from memory it sold pretty cheap.

Omes

Softy, looks like poor fella has updated his listing after you gave him the VW Police treatment!  ;)

This is my mates one, he sold a couple of weeks ago. That price makes me wonder what the current owner has done to it though, as he paid 3200 for it?

It's had and still has some problems.

They all do. I think that seller tried really hard to be honest. Some people do think the wrong things by accident.
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

Is it a mk3 Golf VR6?
That's the specific car we are talking about, its the special edition last of the line mk3 VR6 available in UK and Europe 8) 8) 8)

I think people get confused, as other models are called a 'highline' and just have a leather interior. Who cares really? It's not like the highline was a performance model??

I think the Highline thing is really only confused when talking of the Mk3 VR6 Highline, which as far as I can tell was a UK-only special edition which came only in black or purple and had a matching leather interior. The rear VW badge and front and rear VR6 badges were different to those on the normal VR6 also. I can't seem to find anything else about the VR6 Highline anywhere?

The rest of the time (Mk4 onwards) it's usually quite straightforward; Trendline is basic, Comfortline is mid-range and Highline is the top spec model

Bootsticker details send to VW in Germany and you get the answer. You guys are bloody good at putting people down.
Above gets you the facts. Mine is a highline as well. Don't know about the other guy. Leave everyone in their own aye.
Putting people down is the saddest thing ever and makes you lesser of a person then the person you're putting down...
Think about that....

Omar knows me..we are oldschool enthousiast who spend more on sevicing our 'highline' then 99 percent of vask members
are willing to pay for an entire car....

Get out in the garage and work on your car...cause thats what we do right... get crap done,,,,or talk crap.

SORRY FOR MY STATEMENT..BEST !0 MINUTES SPENT ON VASK

I didn't think anyone was putting anyone down? ???

We are just stating some well known facts, the mk3 VR6 Highline was a run out model, it was as Rambo explained; available in two Colours with matching leather, soft touch trim on door cards, black A, B & C pillars, revised badging front and rear and on VW boot lid. There seems to be no change to engine or performance, just purely cosmetic.

Having owned 3 Nz new VR6, it would seem that we got a lot of ours pretty highly spec'd, and comparing say, my VR6 to Omar the differences are very minor. I mean, I'd just need to source a set of badges and A,B,C pillars and I could call mine a Highline (baring the Colour- but tornado red is the best Colour for a 3 door
Mk3 imho  ;) )

To be honest it sounds like you specialise in the latter.

Sounds like you and Omar have a "special" kind of relationship... Just saying.
