320hp GTI

Done a few GTi upgrade all with dyno plots (stage 4 I lost the damn thing)

Stage 1 : 258hp 390nm
ECU remap only

stage 2: 264hp 395nm
ECU remap, Milltek cat back

Stage 3: 273hp, 395nm
ECU remap, sport cat, Milltek cat back

Stage 4: 320hp, 450nm
ECU remap, Sport cat, cat back, manifold, turbo

This was done on a DSG car, had the stage 4 limited back to 420nm

Ran all cars (4 of them) on track for 3 consequtive days.  No break down. Other brands that were there  Wettaurer, MTM, Superchip.

*Wettaurer went alright, had engine light on though
*MTM one was fine, the other had a code crash with the dash board, indicator stalk, aircon, and cruise control would not work, end up taking the ECU out and swap back to standard.  The one that went fine was good.
*Superchip, was alright, but was commented as the slowest car there.
*AmD, ran quickest time of the day (dont' borther with the lap time as all cars were driven by different people and some had suspension mods, but funny enough our one had no suspension modification while the MTM one was stripped, coilovered, anti roll bar and  so forth)  No engine light, no break down. (not braggin ok?)

All comments were based on cars with maximum stage 3 kit.

R32 300hp was there too, off the line the GTI was much quicker for some reason (i guess its the torque and the weight).  It seems awfully quick on the street, but on big straight at the track, the lack of cylinder was apparent.  R32 still quicker (R32 owner bet you r happy)

Where did this take place? Was it at the UK Tuner challenge a few months ago?

I saw something similar to this on TV about 4 months ago on DW TVs Auto Motor & Sport show on Triangle TV (ak only)
Had 4 mk5 3door (all LHD) hotted up and being put though all sorts of tests.... an ABT prepped car came last...wish i taped it.

The track is F1 standard, host FIA GT championship rounds and F3000 rounds
