195mm is 7.6" so not much difference there, its not unsafe and its not like im trying to run a 155

What is the approved rim widths according to the tyre manufactuer - if they approve an 8" rim, sweet, if they don't then they regard it as being unsafe and so should you!?
Heck, it's your choice but don't complain when you get rejected and have to buy new ones that are approved...

Can't find anything under a 215 that approves an 8" rim but several which approve a 7.5" rim - you 'might' get by but,
IMO, it may be a problem later, depending on the tolerance the proposed reg's allow.
Sorry about coming on a bit strong, but I really don't care for trends that not only have no redeeming values, but are a potential danger.
