Retro's Amarok again.

Took it for another blast and it seems to have loosened up a bit now with 8k on the clock. The clutch is still all wrong though... That said they handle and drive so much better than any of the other commercials I've driven, just need that god awful clutch fixed, and more power!

Tap the throttle before you let the clutch out when starting off. It's something to do with emissions. Tapping the throttle let's the car know your wanting to go.

That's interesting, didn't know that but didn't have a problem on takeoff either, its the changing gears that's horrible - almost like a crunch through the clutch. Hard to explain.

This dragon green 4dr Vr6, saw it a few months ago and it looked hot! Was looking a bit tired and unkept  :(

BBS CH copies as well? looks good- also looked like an 8" rim as had quite a bit of stretch and kerbage to boot.

Also spotted the Truth the other day beach road, looking very tidy and sits well on those rims...

Big turbo?? More power!!!!!

;) Still want it to be a daily, contemplating a different turbo. K04? K03s? GT28? Being that I'm far from an expert on the subject it will take a bit of research...

What's wrong with a fast daily?  8)

Last time I started getting carried away I ended up with a ridiculously fast, but undrivable 300hp FWD Evo engined Mirage! Learned my lesson with that one.

For bolt on go k03s or the hybrid k04 easy bolt on power

heaps more poke than the tiny k03, genuine k04 is only $800-1k landed for 240bhp remapped etc

Leaning towards the K04, time to start saving more pennies I guess! At least I know how to spend my recent pay rise  8)

Its all fine and dandy in a car that has some weight in it. My mirage weighed nothing so was dodgy as at high speed, back end would lift off the road and bounce around like a muther!

Saw a gunmetal one on Blenheim road (chch). They don't look particularly "wow", but I guess thats sort of the idea.
