That's a lot of car for the money and appears to have been well looked after.
They say you're not a true car enthusiast until you have owned an alfa

Positive mate, there's a V6 L-Jetronic 75 and an old (Ta22?) Celica sitting in a shed in Taupo though. I'm just not keen on V6 75's thats all :)

So far as I can remember, yes it's an early 2.5 so that would be a 12v. Body was average, but straight and the transaxle seemed good...
One owner, not the type to try launching it or do circle work (I've seen chunks of crown-wheel rip through the floor pan and back seat in a 75 after someone abused it for a while in a carpark...)

As far as contacting the owner, try the Taupo Gliding Club since I can't remember the guys details - it was in a shed at the Centennial Park airfield.

2.0TS is a better balanced car than the V6 but ultimately a wee bit short on power

A mate of mine had one for 10 years or so, had to get a couple of minor rust spots fixed but it was pretty good overall.  His main issue was sourcing minor trim bits as they broke - took months for him to find a replacement headlight and drivers door handle for a WOF

Edit: almost forgot, the other issue was the engine bay fire that wrote the car off  :(  The bonnet stay came adrift while he was driving and shorted the battery terminals

I bought my first Mk2 GTI off that guy.  He's an aviation engineer so you'd expect him to be meticulous!
The golf actually ended up being a bit shabby but it did the job

Well I bought it :-X  It goes quite well, needs a new clutch though and the exhaust mounted properly.

Went over to the wreckers this morning to get some parts for an audi and saw a complete 75 sitting there so should have no probs with parts, its also got some nice zender wheels on it that Ill get for mine

That blue 75 is my neighbours old car (that he drove into the ground). Hes now working on rooting a nice 164 that replaced the 75 with.

I now own it, I asked gerald how much for the wheels and said he would only sell me the complete car for $350
