Probably it's original colour - platinum silver metallic. Nice dark, metallic silver which I think suits the lines quite well. Then again there's this funky mk1 orange that I really like  :P >:D

Hows the rust looking after the sanding T? Did you find much more? How does the body compare to Neils Scirocco?

Body is very sound! No surprises so far and am not expecting to find too much. The car has had a full motor & interior out respray some years ago which may have helped. There are a few bits, and I'm after some new doors because mine are rusted but the shell itself is pretty bloody good.

I am looking at getting some lower door skins made up. If you are ineterested I could get another set made at the same time

Mine are touch and go on fix or re skin

I'll throw the name out again, Dr Rust in Ashfield Rd Wairau. Good prices and does amazing custom panel work on old Mustangs, Mini's and no doubt more. 1 man band and all round GC - worth a visit!

 Hey could you not just swap the lights over upside down to make em right hand drive?
 The decals etc on the glass would be upside down but they just have 4 symmetrical mount points don't they?

 But on more thought they would point to the left then but up instead of down :-[
