Cheap coilovers

Anyone have any experience with cheap coilovers like jom, raceland, vmaxx ect?

i have racelands in my track car ..no complaints.

i'm using vmaxx on my mk2 and 3- no problems so far, a bit bumpy in the mk3 on a s**t road but otherwise fine for the $$$. Coons has H&R, and they ride fantastic!

I got the opportunity to drive the Poonmobile today, have to say for all the crap you read on the Vmaxx they arn't all that bad. I was expecting hard and harsh, it's not any harder than say my H&R's, just a bit bouncy. Dampening isn't as nice, but obviously that's where the extra coin comes in

Just make sure whatever you buy can actually go low! Not all of them can give you a good drop

What I love about this thread is that most people that are handing out the advice have only driven on one brand of coilovers so their options are really invalid.

How so Nic? Coons and I have been in and driven each others cars, chris has vmaxxs on his mk3? I think we are able to give a fair idea on what we have tried/used or using

I just wanted to know if they are not completley crap and dont blow the shocks within 6 months, dont really care about handling as its for my diesel

The Vmaxx feel very good and ride very well and control bumps very well.
 On a car like most of us have its a waste of money to spend maga bucks on proper coilys considering most just want low.
 I have them for the track, before that I had fully rebuilt Bilstiens and vogtland springs.
 The Vmaxx make my car much better to drive round a track and are amazingly good on the road.
 Its nice to know the importers are forum members and will stand by the product too.
 Lots of happy customers so far.
 I guess they mite have stuffed shocks after a year or two but you do get what you pay for but so far definatly not crap. I found they fitted and were well made too.
