Just caught the end of it this morning. It had the guy from 5th gear on top gear this morning. Did he used to be part of top gear and then head off onto a different show or have they always had separate shows?

I'm sure he used to be with 5th Gear at one stage. Pretty funny in his own right though. He's got a book out I see as well. Not as funny as in the flesh (in my humble opinion)...

The whole 5th gear team used to host Top Gear pre-Jeremy Clarkson. When BBC cancelled Top Gear in 2002 they joined channel 5 to host 5th Gear.

Tiff & Vicky used to host Top Gear with JC..  But JC left, in some aurgument with the BBC & the show got tired & BBC axed it..

Then Tiff & Vicky started 5th Gear, which is like old Top Gear, & JC brought back Top Gear in its new format.. but I read the other day its off air this year, as the redesign it again.
