IMO youd be doing allroght to get $4k for it, they are old and not exactly cheap to fix for the average person, and the last few s6's that have sold have gone for around $2-3k

Normally I would agree with you, but those are cars that have done over 200k and look like it. This one has done under 150k and looks like its done 60k--I dont need the money, so I would rather put it on blocks than give it away.   ;).

mmm- Anyone thought of taking off the body, welding up a roll cage and taking these offroad?? >:D

If your dropping the water, the rubber turbo return hose (under the intake manifold) goes a bit gooey over time.

Hairdressers drive Rav4's, that's what I heard.  >:D

(Although I hear they are worth off-roading).

oh well good luck with the boat!

How much can the scanner do, other than error codes.. (and does it do that for engine and trans?), any other features, ie: reading measuring blocks..? ..I broke my laptop..

I dont know about reading blocks, never used it for that,--I guess it may depend on ECU capability as well. It read my N75 codes and static mAF which helped me repair  them by splicing in some new wires. That would have probably set me back a few grand from a stealership. It has lots of menus, It does the transmisson as well --as I say its probably only limited by sophistication of the cars ecu. Selling at $50 less than the TM guy with the additional cables, roll up roll up.

They just read the codes both gearbox and engine and airbags and ABS and everything a VAG has, all models except the very latest now I think.
Also resets the oil services etc.
Its a handy and easy to keep in the car tool. I paid $280 for mine :P Stink one.
