Where did you purchase the new drums?

I got mine from germanautoparts.com
If I were building this to a track standard, I would try BNT

Fitted my replacement rear bumper, fitment is a bit off, will have to redrill holes further back within the brace.

Also got rid of the awful rice lights that were on it

Installed my new wiper/indicator stalks, ignition barrel, ignition switch etc so that I can now reliably turn the key everytime without it seizing  ;D

I also went to pick a part and got new windscreen washer lines and a fuse box out of a mazda 323 that had what I needed in it and was a good size to tuck away.

Great you can get those parts brand new! The horn contacts wear out on them, amongst other things.

The only thing is, the wiper side stalk on the GTI has a button marked 'MFA' which I figured isn't going to be a life breaker if I don't have. I assume it's to do with the mileage clock etc?

You may even be able to swap the new guts onto the old MFA button stalk?

I've been waiting for parts, and can't really move on without them.

Today I installed the new fuel filter and replaced some fuel hoses that had cracked.
Also put on the new single headlight grill:

Pretty stoked with how it turned out.
