Audi has produced its 10 millionth A4/80 model.

The 10 millionth unit was a Misano Red Audi S4 with a black and alabaster-white interior which rolled off the assembly line in Ingolstadt earlier this month.

Audi began producing the A4's predecessor, the Audi 80, back in 1972. The Audi 80 ran for four-generations until 1994-1995 when it was replaced by the Audi A4. The A4, itself now in its fourth generation, produced its 5 millionth model in March of 2011.

The A4 is assembled at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany with some A4 sedans produced at the automaker's Neckarsulm plant near Stuttgart. The current A4 comes in several variants which include the A4 sedan, A4 Avant, A4 Allroad Quattro, the S4 sedan and the S4 Avant.
