Saw the 'Winter Olympics' edition of Top Gear the other night.  Wrote off a number of brand new Suzuki Swifts while playing car-ice hockey, and a Mini that they fitted rockets to.

Compared the new Audi Q7 with the XC90 by doing a sort of race on snow in Norway. Ended up crashing the Q7 into the woods, but still made it back before the XC90. Verdict was rather inconclusive.

Seems these days Top Gear is less about reviewing and comparing new cars, and more about 'breaking things' to appeal to the yob-audience.  Clearly market research has showen them that's the way forward  ::)

Agreed, its all getting a bit ego driven, & less about reviewing cars, & more about doing big smokey drifting, & trying to break cars

Smokey's are all good. Where else will you see all these flash cars get thrashed anything like that?  8)
