My new Rocco R
« on: December 18, 2011, 11:24:56 AM »
Hi all, just saying wassup. I just sold my imola yellow 8P S3 and bought myself a new Scirocco R in candy white, optioned with black leather/ alcantara (suade) interior, RCD510, Pano roof, 19" Telladegas, Recaro (RS4 styled) seats, Dynamic chassis control, Dyna Audio, ipod interface. Will start oem+ modding in the new year, will post photos. Leave alloys in silver, or paint in gloss black? opinions appreciated. Chur.

Yea hard, blacks been over done, but there's already heaps of gloss black bits all over car (diffusers, mirrors, pano roof looks black, grills), so just worried it might look odd if it's out of sync. Just saw the beetle r rims in like a polished finish but think that might be a bit steep. How's your black and yellow going?

Mum and Dad?

It is something we are all wondering, but in all honesty, it is nobodies business. And just because a 22 year old has a nicer car than everyone else doesn't necessarily mean Mum and Dad paid for it.

Awesome car, can't wait to see pics. And it will be awesome to see someone tastefully mod a new scirrocco R!

Fair question, I've made some good investment choices in stocks and commodities in recent years, which have fortunately paid of. This forum's about the cars not the ways in which we afford them, so let's keep it on track guys.

First mod: I've ordered some buttons to replace my gate and garage remote, that go next to the ESP and DCC buttons infront of the gear selector, from here :http://carstyle4you.com/index.php?cPath=15_18_30_41. I need three buttons (2 gates, 1 garage), so luckuly my car has the non smoking package which has space for 5 buttons instead of the 4 that comes with the ashtray setup. I've used them before for a similar setup in my S3. They look completely oem and stun passengers (especially dumb 20 year old girls) when I pull up to my gate.

Second mod: I'm having the wheels painted in Phantom Black Pearl Effect, colour code is LZ9Y which is straight of the Audi colour palette. As many of the Audi nuts on here will know, this colour has hints of gold, green and blue in it, so it looks awesome under sunlight. Will post pics up when they're done. My anticipation to see how this will turn out is that of a kid waiting for a fat man with a beard to fall down his chimney on Jesus's bday.

I'm trying to post photos from my mac, anyone know how to get an image under the 120kb limit?

Re pics - Get a Photobucket account or Flickr or similar - upload pics and then just insert the image tags into your post. VASK doesn't have the server space or bandwidth to host all the images.
