Audi A1 Quattro officially unveiled
« on: December 21, 2011, 07:39:29 PM »
Motivation comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 256 PS (188 kW / 252 hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to six-speed manual transmission which sends power to an all-wheel drive system. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 245 km/h (152 mph).

The A1 Quattro will be launched in the second half of 2012 and production will be limited to 333 units.

Like it! Who thinks this could be like the original mk1 golf,  were the manufacturing numbers end up being far more than originally planned?

There are two sorts of people, those that have taste - and those that like the car  8)
Quite like the wheels but better if they were handed, so extraction fins on both sides - seats are also looking stylish.
Wonder what it's going to weigh - my guess 1700kg...?

Actually, if it was a bit longer it'd make a reasonable modern interpretation of an UrQuattro...
Triumph Of The Will is not a Nazi propaganda film, it's the story of one mans struggle to wrestle an aging Coupe GT down Mangare Road.

'06 Fabia VRS, Skoda WRC kit, 18" Reaction Orbit alloys.

Funny that you say that, I was thinking the side profile looks like a modernisation and miniaturisation of the Audi 80 coupe. This A1 is one of the few small cars that I like the look of, yet I'm not a great fan of the Audi 80 generally. At least in the saloon shape. Must be getting old.

Teah, I 'may' have been a bit unfair - depending on the wheel size*, it could be a small car that'll be great to hussle along the country roads.

*However, I fear they're 20's and the whole car is actually quite big.

I imagine it is similar dimensions to the standard A1 so pretty small.
