Rebirth 3: The continuation of project OI
« on: January 31, 2012, 12:37:14 PM »
Watch this Space....

Will be picking up the beast soon.

Details Ideas and Pictures to Follow

So i have purchased project OI from hansy

Hopefully i can breathe some life into this bad boy once more

I have time to think at the moment due to dislocating my shoulder last week but the two though processes at the moment are something like this

Possibility 1
TRACK CAR
Stripped caged raw and ready to hit the track

possibility 2
Road Car
MkIII interior transplant
With aircon nice wheels and either a vr6 or the existing ABF

not to sure yet

I have to sell my MPS before this project will be able to gain any serious traction

Track car is cool but unless you are dedicated to Motorsport go with option 2 which is what I would do.
2005 Mustang GT Vert, supercharged
2003 R32 Turbo Jetta Coupe, Viper mapped
1963 Type 34 Karmann Ghia, stock and rusty
2001 VU Holden Ute, stock and daily driver
1979 1303 Beetle vert, project in progress
1980 1303 Beetle vert, in pieces

What do you need from a Mk3? Do you want a whole car to pick from, or do you just want to find a car at a wrecker where you can get what you need?
Because if option 2, there are always some Mk3's dotted around the Pick A Parts. There are two out at Avondale atm

nice road car, it's a great color and a really nice base to start from. I have to agree with Vert on the track car scenario...

I am after dashboards looms seats etc etc

A whole car may be better but not practical

24v VR6 and 6 speed with all Mk3 5 stud running gear would be my vote!

They put the VR6 in the Corrado which is a MK2 chassis so it should be a problem.
