I have never used them myself but have heard positive feedback from various sources over the years about Al's on Target Rd http://www.alsmufflers.co.nz/index.html Could be worth a chat to them?

Takapuna muffler's alright too. I had mine done, but some how my new resonator makes 'ping' noise cooling... quite loud - bit annoying. But that's got nothing to do with workmanship. It's more to do with quality of resonator I would have thought. I was happy with Al's before but they took very long January holiday so went to Takapuna on Barry's.

I have much respect for Dean in Onehunga. He's been nursing the GTE muffler for years. If I recall he manufactured a 2-1 downpipe for about $80, when the 'agents' had quoted about $400 + 8 weeks delivery (or about 6 weeks into expired wof territory).

Have used Takapuna before but wasn't uber happy and have heard other bad feedback from old men in BMWs.

Ash were you happy with the job at Woolf & was the pricing competetive? Wouldn't mind a remus but I'm not too fussed.

To be honest, I didn't shop around too much. But costs for a miltek landed were 1/5 the cost of the car and I couldn't justify it. I wanted Remus so I went straight to them. I was happy with the price as I was looking to spend way more! And they were just keen to put it on the dub and were just as enthusiastic about it as me. I'm getting the mk 2 done there next.

I like the guys up at Pit Stop Grey Lynn.
They know us as a club and the owner has a fast Honda and has been to a day we were at.
Plus they are young and funny, they guy with the glasses is a crack up but watch out while he under a car swinging tools he'll take your eye out!
They are on the main drag and do lots of high end cars and sales yard work so they just get on with it.
They are all very personable, much more so than a lot of exhaust places.
The world is full of love and fairness
