What's an RR worth these days?
« on: February 03, 2012, 09:08:52 PM »
It's a tough one given how few are here (and were produced!), but any ideas on current values on a pristine RR?

The Fleet:
Orange Roughy:'90 16v Corrado
The Little Tank: '93 2.8l 100 Quattro
'89 Carrera 4.
Still trying to figure out how to get 'em all to fit in a single garage....

Bit of a noob question, but what is an RR? Google search turns up R8 images and one concept car...

IMHO 40-50k depending on buyer, upper end if the buyer really wants it and could go higher if a collector must have. Only a handful in NZ and they don't turnover very often so pretty hard to say. A key point is finding a buyer with the cash in today's market as there a lot of choice at that money. They are an icon so any respectable car head should be ware of them.

Probably available cheaper if not looked after, but will easily end up with this sort of money to make it mint. RS2s is similar if  5-10k lower.

Some astute (and lucky) punters have both...

There is a 10v on tm asking 40k. Never seen a 10v go for that but km sure the urq owners could comment here as well?

Craig, if you are talking your Dads car, I think a standard car is worth more than modified one.
But its a hard question, after all there are only 4 in NZ, 1 import, 3 NZ new.

yeah, hence the question.  The $40k 10v on Trademe aside, where are UR quattros sitting price-wise in general?

The old boy has been muttering about a potential sale of late.
