Wonder why they came down with a ton of bricks here? There are certainly hundreds up other drop-shippers around that are allowed to flood trademe.

And i'm pretty sure anyone who can drop $140k on a car would be conducting due diligence.

On the other hand, you wouldn't be looking on trademe either if you had that sort of coin?  ;D

I doubt there would be a Audi rep on here and if they were they would not get involved with slander as it never goes anywhere good.
You weta did the right thing, if you feel they are in fact charging to much then you have to do what you did, close the deal until your happy or lose the car you may want.
Fact is NZ s smaller and we do pay more and Audi are on a high at the moment and seem to be able to be reasonably arrogant or even slanderous (what I get a little in the parts shops, due to so much crap failing) of there product and they are still flying out the door.
Money talks.
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

I know you are joking but why? There is a reason some people can buy certain things and it's by not throwing money away unnecessarily. I am not talking about being tight or a miser but if I can save 40-50k on a car I would be stupid not to. No 3 year warranty or average dealer backup is worth that.

Sorry I just get irrationally annoyed about that sort of thing. Beer time I think.

Some pretty expensive cars are on TM.
Everything is on TM.

You'll see more of it once the rs4 availability improves, as there's currently a good wait time on orders (dealer stock orders aside).

I would seriously look at a uk import (new) for a new car at that level of savings.

On the negative side You get one year less warranty, some warranty terms where you have to pay and then be reimbursed, no servicing included (2x services), but that's about it.

I think you took my post completely out of context. My post was related to why TM pulled the auction.

What I meant was (and I could have worded it better) if you were looking at seriously buying a brand new supercar, trademe wouldn't be the first place you'd look to source that car...

i reckon the RS2 and the B7 are the best looking cars in that lot.  I'd put mine after those and the new one last.

each to their own

So B5 is best looking or B8?
I think i agree too if the B5 is the best.

I think the RS2 is the coolest. Also I love that the B5's engine was hand built by Cossworth. B7 has best exhaust note. B8 has best induction note. My 2c.
