Id say that your best and cheapest bet for more power is too try offering M more than $10 for his stuff.
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

00quattro00

Also people use the 2.8 na heads as they have bigger ports and better cams
Land Rover Discovery 300tdi
Land Rover 110 4bd1t

Technically the 2.4 heads are best but really not required unless going for some serious power. Like 550+bhp.
Too much power is almost enough.

Yes - probably will not go into 550hp (unless I can find a good daily driver truck and commit this car to track only (or at least close to it).  Listed it on TM considering how long cars can take to sell in case something else catches my interest (RS...).

I really love those wheels, especially with the blue. I looked at getting some before i settled on the BBS i have now. Interesting to see a size comparison, i have 18s and want to go to 19s. I try and find a better pic

Thanks for listing.  As I mentioned keeping my options open if an RS pops up.  Can take a while to sell a car here.

Those BBS CH 18s are perfect on that car - pure class. Don't change them! Also if you go to 19s I think you may compromise ride and handling.

I agree - CH's are great looking.  Thinking of stepping down to 18" black CH's

Yes, he "pimped" it at some point in it's life....   :o

Going to get rid of all that stuff... just have no idea what it's worth to anyone

Its actually worth proabably alot. But unfortunately the Hood wearing Ankle biters who all want the gear dont have the $$ to pay for it... so the will offer and low ball left right and centre...

your best bet is more than likely ebay...

or Hennie.. he loves buying car audio crap..

Actually Werc, i could be keen on that sub installation, or at least some of it. Ive been wanting to upgrade mine for a while. Are you in auckland? After looking more closely at the photos it could be a mission, but im keen to have a look. Is the boot space useable? I have luggage, footy gear and golf clubs in and out of mine all the time.

My mechanics friend just offered me $300 earlier (before I saw your message).  Am probably going to have him take it all out and take it for that.  Will let you know how I go.

Ok that might be best, it looks like it may compromise too much boot space anyway

$300 is very cheap for all that stuff.

probably keeping the car for now.  I'm out of the country over the next few months (back and forth) so may be a good time to get it worked on

It seems the 034 kit is having a few problems and may take a while to sort out.

May go for an apr chip to hold me over... Anyone in NZ using them?  Who did you go with and cost?  I'll be traveling back to the US (where they're about $740nzd vs. the listed $1670 here on apr's site).  Is the chip the same worldwide?

I would go with Viper Tuning. I think Vert1 on here does the remap. Lemans has one of his maps and raves about. With the Viper map you can go standard or customised according to your mods.

Search on RS246.com for references..

I'm not affiliated in anyway to Vert or Viper, but have heard very good things is all.
