Nope, Ive only driven manuals and they were either new or a few years old and NZ new. Nothing went wrong with any of the cars Ive driven.

We are asking $8500, its had the cambelt/tensioner done and also the thermostat housing (can be very costly as it cooks the engine when it breaks) We got it at 19,000 kms and have seviced it every 10,000 kms since. Its got alloys with new tyres also.

They are great mate but when i took the car yard that sold me mine to court I was told on the quiet by one of my witnesses that deals with transmissions that Polos have gearbox probs a lot and so do Golf.  He advised my hubby and I that if we want a shopping trolley go for a Toyota as they are heaps of them on the road, parts are easy to get as they are a dime a dozen and they hold there resale value as they r so reliable.

My wee polo is great now that I have had it fixed.  Runs like a dream.  My car will take me years to run up the mileage as I only do about 250kms a month.  Yep owned my car for 22mths and have only done 6,000kms in my shopping cart trolley.

The only fault I find is that there is no leg room for passengers in the back if u r tall people in the front.  How to cut off the circulation in peoples legs in the back, heheheh ;D

Driven a few in 5Spd & auto... Go for the 1.6..

We have a SEAT Cordoba, which is the booted Polo.. or Polo Classic in some markets..
EMD brough in 1 shipment i think, & they are around pretty cheap, as not many people know what they are.
Its 1.8, & a great little car... there was 1.6 all 5Spd & 1.8 in auto.  There is slightly limted room in the rear, but our 3 year old fits in her booster seat no probs.. & it has a massive boot.  The Polo hatch has quite a small boot.

They drive like smaller Golf, & are more nimble.. they 1.6 revs nice, & the GTI is an awesome little car
