I have a 1997 Audi A3 1.8T 8L which the speakers have died in (only the passenger one works), it has the original Blaupunkt stereo and speakers.

Can anyone tell me what size speakers can fit in the doors and rear panels, and if there is anything in particular I need to do which is specific to Audi.

I have done many Stereo's on Toyota's and Nissan's but this is the first euro I have done, any thoughts?

I am hoping that it is the speakers, not the wiring, I cant imagine re wiring the entire stereo system would be an easy task.

First things first, Stereo wiring is different in an Audi to any nissan/toyota etc.

Next thing is the front doors run 3.5-4" speaker. the OEM (original equipped Model) is a 3". Next thing is the rear speakers and sub are amplified. So it not a simply lets swap scenario here i'm afraid.

Do you know where the amp and sub are located?

Sub in left rear and amp is attached there as well.

Assuming the speakers are the same as the facelift car I have some you can buy.  PM me if interested.
