always pays to have that new ignition switch handy
« on: December 11, 2012, 05:28:45 pm »
Ignition switch has felt dodgy since I have owned the car, about 4 years.

I got home yesterday and my key wouldn't come out... crap..

3 hours later with new switch in place and only one spare part, and we have ignition.

Glad I chucked that in the cart about 3 years ago..

For some reason things always break this time of year. But I always think better now than in a few weeks when I'm out camping..

Mine did the same 2 years ago, the only time i had to get the car towed home. Left the shops the gearbox was acting up, pulled over turned the car off to restart, couldn't get the key out. $90 later from the dealer for the new switch.
