Matt Black McLaren MP4-12C at Continental Cars Tyre centre. I'm over Matt paint but I'd take that car in any colour. Also driving past the Porsche service garage seeing 911's in bits being fixed/serviced made a back yard grease-monkey like me a bit giddy.

A few from the VW Nats this morning
I had no idea there were still that many Kombis left in NZ
There is also one familiar looking vehicle among these
Oh, and no water cooled apart from a dealer displayed Golf 7 and Polo
Some really nice cars but too many spectators to get many pics

That number of early Kombi's in nothing compaired to the Nelson Nationals a few years back ! They would have had double that as there was a Kombi South Island Tour straight after & it effectively started at the conclusion of the nationals . As for the Water cooled showing, that would have to be a first with no water cooled??  last year had enough that they had two water cooled catagorys with three prizes in each !

When I look at the shots of the nationals just been, there appears to be one shot of a Blue MK2 Golf with a red late 1980's Passat parked next to it that look to have been RIGHT up the back of the grounds?? So there might have been a couple of cars there ??

A very boring looking standard Grey Holden Cruze Diesel driving along the north western this morning.
Why mention it you may ask.... the set of four lights in the windows, 2 in front and 2 in rear made me look twice. The two guys in the front wearing police uniforms was a scary sight
