Its arrived!

Looks great !

I've just taken it out for a short lunchtime spin!

Thoughts so far

- I like it!
- clutch is no where as heavy as what I remembered from the last rs2 I took out (black wellington one).  So maybe that one had been mod'd
- ac needs a recharge (will need to find out where to get this done) for those freak Wellington hot days
- need to sort out the dash light controls (driving through the tunnels pointed out that they are pretty dim.  nice red on white though!)
- it's no where near as lethal \ fast as the RS4.  Apparently ours is mapped to around 400 so that kinda makes sense.  Don't get me wrong, the RS2 isn't slow!

Thanks Barry!  It's safe and sound.  Well actually, some of the lads from work have it out at the moment for a fish and chips lunchtime run.

moar pics - not the best sunlight conditions in our dirty ole' garage :D

and it needs a decent clean (being stuck on the back of the truck for a thousand odd k's makes it a little less than show room)

Oh yes what a lovely pair of motorcars - great colour combo. Will have to keep them together now! I'm obviously an arse guy because I really like the back end of the RS2  :P

To make the dash lights brighter you turn one of the trip pins in the cluster, I think the one on the left?

It was spotless when it went on transporter but yes 1000km will do that.

Glad you are happy, enjoy.
Too much power is almost enough.

Stunning car. I wouldn't give it to anyone for a thrash down to the F&C shop though!

L plates on an RS4... What an odd sight!

well she did the bulk of her learning in a mates Corolla but she's at the point now she can drive this one.  She likes the 2 as well, so may have to put some L plates on that :(

ah well, she did let me get the 2 (and keep the 4) so it's all swings and round abouts!

No way! I love the stock look!  I've got some Rs4 fog lights and grills from the UK in a box I'm considering putting back on even though it kills the inter cooler flow. Just haven't managed to convince myself to do it. :)
