Tiguan looks nice with the R bits 'n bobs.

Early one so definitely normal auto.

Sidebar - I seem to be living in Tiguan Central, there's at least 3, maybe 5 (possibly double counting  ??? ) living within walking distance of me.

Pretty sure from memory all 2009 onwards tiguans are all DSG.
06-08 was auto and some 08's where DSG.

Most tdi's are DSG. The TSI's are mostly auto till about 09.
TSI Tiguan 09 has the same DSG box as the Golf R

His is early 09?

Easiest Nik, take rego or VIN and ask VW if it has auto or DSG?

My aunt has an Tiguan 2008 TDI, hers is DSG.
Hmmm odd one.

Should be easy to figure out as the auto was a 6-speed, DSG 7-speed.

Unless...

My friend is getting more interested in this car. Shes been told it has full services history, the cambelt hasnt been changed but is due at 150,000kms according to the manual. That seems crazy to me or have I missed something?

the various dealers dream up cambelt intervals

I got my 2.0tdi done at 100,000kms

dealer seemed to think 160,000 was ok.. i said No change it..

Ive just been down to the local Audi and VW dealership. First up EMD recommend changing belts every 5 years.

A 2009 model is every 180,000kms, from 2010 its 210,000kms!
