Eh up.

Yep, the warm weather has taken its toll, and the headlining on my 1997 GTI has dropped :(

Has anyone here had any success in repair, either a DIY or through a recommended upholstererererer (strange word, that one)?

Thanks

you are best to replace the cloth than repair/re-glue it. If you are gonna take it out to get an upholsterer to do, you might as well do it yourself :)
Bostik 1222 Brush on glue for the headliner, according to Ranton ;)

Got quotes for between $300 and $400 to do mine, botch job done by previous owner, tears and cuts in places where adhesive was poked in, looks a diabolical mess..... I plan to remove the whole thing myself and drop it off at upholstererererer....... Was thinking BMW M black lining material...... Hopefully what I save in labour I can spend on the nice material  :o
