Overall they are great cars. Enjoy them for what they are and as others have pointed out the silky smoothness of power available.

Gas usage wise it was on par with my corolla (yes I did own such a car).
If you know what to look out for and be ready to do typical maintenance on them.
They are an easy car to live with. Rather roomy, if you have an empty car or a full car.
They simply still pull.

My first vr6, use to give me around 380-420kms in town and 450-520 on the open road.
Current one, around 350-380 around town and about 400 open road.

However, these where never built or economy. Simply enjoy it.

I've managed to get about 8-9 l/100km around town taking it easy, great thing about them is you don't ever need to be blasting away in 2nd to get anywhere. Takes hills easy without having to drop more than one gear if needed, and still drives like normal when you stuff it full of people to be the taxi.

Just get one for the noise alone

9.3 was the best I got but I loved the noise too much, remember 2.8 liter v6 those are the facts,no v6 has ever been cheap to run,in general i think they aren't too bad.
Best to buy the later model with lower kilometers ,not big money.
