Mtm chip- how can you verify if your car has one?

The fault code is 17704 P1296 035
                        17704  / references
                       
                        sporadic fault

 The fault is engine cooling system related.

That's the list price for a dealer fitted MTM chip with retention of new car warranty. At least sending it to Germany shows you will get the genuine article.

If the deal doesn't include retaining your new car warranty it's overpriced bigtime as there is a big margin built in to cover warranty claims due to the chip.
