Ive never heard of Bob Wallace before, awesome to hear of a New Zealand being so involved with such amazing cars, like the Miura and Countach:

I was always intriged that a NZ'er was their engineer when I first read of it in a Wheels magazine back in the '60's when I was going to school.
Not quite sure how he got there but I did read something of it some time ago but forget the details.
He moved to the USA after leaving Lamborghini I believe

Wallace was development engineer and chief test driver for Lambo back in the 60's/70's.

Before Lambo he worked at Maserati.

After Lambo he moved to Arizona, setting up his own service shop.

There's a whole chapter on him in Pete Lyon's book "The Complete Book of Lamborghini" (Haynes 1988).

A great book for fans of the marque.

I have a Haynes book on Lamborghini but it is written by Anthony Pritchard, published 2005.
I had forgotten about this but a quick browse and I see that he went there in 1963 and asked for a job, left in 1975
