Whats the deal on fitting mk4 seats into a mk3? Can they be made to flip forward for a 3 door?

Modify the legs on the seats or weld in MK4 floor rails and front mounts, GTIVR6's car has MK4 seats which fit quite nice.
Can be made to flip forward just a little more work than on MK2/3 seats

Not sure about the height, they do look higher which could be a hassle as theres not much scope for dropping them down due to the frame design.
I think the seat leg mod is pretty much the same as mk3 into a mk2,before you cut the leg ''jig up'' a piece of strong flat bar steel across from
other side leg with a few good tacks and carefully measure the mk2 seat rail spacing.
The leg you are changing needs to be shortened to bring it across to the narrower runners, you will find the rectangular steel piece that holds the plastic
guide will need cutting off and turning to match the other leg,not too hard to get right.
The cut down leg can then be lined up to that mark, tacked in place and test fitted, got mine right first time and the seat base slid back and forward
easily in the mk2 runners.
A good tip is to remove the top part of the seat from the base ,saves lugging round the whole lot when you are test fitting.
Once you have done one seat the others easy, good luck, they are nice seats for an mk2.
